Content: | "Atlas of Macao - 2024" “Atlas of Macau – 2024” is edited and published by Cartography and Cadastre Bureau. It reveals Macao current urban scenery by adopting topographic maps, satellite images, the aerial photography captured by unmanned vehicles and other advanced surveying and mapping techniques. Readers can browse 360º panoramic photos and dynamic maps at ease by scanning the QR codes, which facilitates Macao residents and visitors to explore the latest urban landscape beyond the boundaries of media in terms of multi-angles and all-round approach. Moreover, a special series of topics including the “Roaming Along the Macao Coastline” and the “Review of Macao’s Urban Infrastructure” have been added to “Atlas of Macao – 2024”. The former topic guides readers to explore various coastal routes and seaside attractions in Macao, and displays the latest topographic data of Macao’s coastline and surrounding environment through aerial images and topographic maps captured by unmanned aerial vehicles, whereas the latter topic showcases the public construction achievements made by the SAR Government in various fields such as the construction of livelihood, transportation, public housing, and ports in the past decade with the aim of facilitating moderate diversification of the economy. "Atlas of Macao - 2019" "Atlas of Macau - 2019" is edited and published by Cartography and Cadastre Bureau. It introduces the latest city’s features of Macao, and initially introduces the “Land boundaries of Macao Special Administrative Region”, the “Coastline of Macao Special Administrative Region” and thematic maps under the series “Tracing the changes in Macao with topographic maps”; that is to present Macao’s latest survey and mapping results and record the development of the city.As this year marks the 20th anniversary of Macao’s handover, the “Atlas of Macao - 2019” specially introduces the thematic series such as boundaries of the administrative division, land boundary and markers between Guangdong and Macao, coastline demarcation, and offers thematic maps under the series “Tracing the changes in Macao with topographic maps”, created based on overlaying the topographic maps, to show readers the city development during the past twenty years after the handover. The maps in the 2019 version look more real and user-friendly as they were compiled with overlays of the latest satellite images for readers to have a deeper understanding of Macao’s geographical conditions and distribution. This Atlas is a comprehensive atlas that is highly practical and worth collecting. "Atlas of Macao - 2015" "Atlas of Macao - 2015" is edited and published by Cartography and Cadastre Bureau. It presents various features of Macao latest natural environment, urban situation, geographic situation and tourism resources, including detailed street maps, true ortho-rectified aerial images, and historical land reclamation and development maps. To enrich its content and add more sense to reality, we have especially used the latest aerial photography and image processing technology to produce true orthophoto overlaying map, which allows the readers a deeper understanding of the geographical conditions and distribution in Macao. Besides, walking tour routes map "Taking a Walk through the Streets of Macao" and "Step Out, Experience Macau's Communities", which are issued by Municipal Affairs Bureau (formerly Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau) and Tourism Office respectively, are especially introduced in this atlas, so that the readers can understand the attractions distribution and geographic information of each route. Furthermore, a series of thematic map "Tracing the Evolution in Remote Sensing Images" is also created to show the readers the evolution and development of the large-scale construction projects in Macao. "Atlas of Macao - 2011" "Atlas of Macao - 2011" is edited and published by Cartography and Cadastre Bureau. It presents various features of Macao natural environment, urban situation, geographic situation and tourism resources, including detailed street maps, satellite image maps, land reclamation and development maps, and maps of the Historic Centre of Macao, etc. For detailed street maps, we adopt a producing method of overlaying street map on satellite image; for thematic map, three-dimensional photos of the Historic Center of Macao are published, as well as the aerial photos of Macao in the 20th century, by which the readers can understand the general changes of Macao geographical features in the past few decades. The Atlas is attached with "Macau GeoGuide" CD-ROM and a pair of red-blue three-dimensional glasses. "Macau GeoGuide" is based on Geographic Information System technology, with comprehensive spatial information of Macao. Users can use various functions such as map browsing, geographical features search and route search without internet access. Atlas of Macao (Second edition) - 2005 The Atlas of Macao (Second edition) is produced by the cooperation of Cartography and Cadastre Bureau and the Center for GIS Industry Development of Chinese Academy of Sciences. It presents various features of Macao nature environment, urban aspect, geographic distribution and tourism resources, including detailed street maps, satellite images, land development maps, various thematic maps and statistical maps, which make it a practical and comprehensive atlas. A Geographic Information Multimedia CD-ROM "Windows to Macao" is attached inside the Atlas of Macao (Second edition). Based on the technology of Geographic Information System (GIS), "Windows to Macao" integrates the spatial, the textual and multimedia information of Macao, and is a practical GIS tool with rich information. |
