Generally, boundary markers are established where it is difficult to distinguish the turning point of the boundary according to the landform, the intersection of the transit road and the boundary, and the start and end points of the boundary delineated by the centerline of the linear landmarks; boundary markers are erected where the foundation is stable and beneficial to the protection of the boundary markers. The density of the boundary markers should be able to control the basic trend of the boundary and to be as low as possible.

Locations of boundary Markers
The boundary markers refer to both two-side markers and one-side marker pairs. Every two-side marker is erected at a location bearing boundary information on the corresponding boundary, while the markers of a one-side marker pair are put on the two sides of the boundary to indicate its location.
